The Future of Bytes and Brew
Here's what's coming next...
đź‘‹ Hey there!
I’m Brandon, owner and operator of Bytes and Brew newsletter. I know it’s been a while since I’ve sent an edition of Bytes and Brew out, and there’s a good reason for this…
The idea of the newsletter came about when I had friends ask me “how can I use ChatGPT in my day-to-day”.
Instead of writing a daily newsletter that recaps AI news, I decided to approach it with the mindset of “while I have my coffee, how can I learn about AI?” and spread the editions out over time.
From a business standpoint, there was no way I could compete with the news-based AI newsletters on the market. I’m a solo creator with a full time job and staying on top of my health and fitness, training for marathons while on a weight loss journey; needless to say, it’s a LOT to juggle.
While I have successfully fulfilled my mission to help readers be more productive with AI, it’s with heavy heart that I have made the ultimate decision to no longer write the Bytes and Brew newsletter.
There’s 3 reasons for this:
I don’t have the bandwidth to be able to write, maintain, and grow by myself with everything that’s going on in my personal life.
Newsletter growth can get very expensive and time consuming, especially considering that I’m bootstrapping the newsletter.
I don’t find as much enjoyment in writing this newsletter as I used to. It’s tough to stand out in a crowded space, especially in AI.
While I do consider this newsletter a success, it’s in my best interest to not move forward with Bytes and Brew. The website will still be maintained for historical purposes, but future editions will no longer be sent by me.
If you are interested in acquiring the subscriber list and/or the brand, please send me an email: [email protected]
I don’t want to discount the experiences I’ve gained from this newsletter. I’ve gotten my foot in the door with the newsletter business and learned so much about this industry, growth tactics, etc. The community is amazing and I’m very happy for all of the support I’ve received.
And if you’ve been a subscriber to the newsletter, I want to extend a thank you to you specifically. Without you, I wouldn’t have been able to immerse myself in the world of the newsletters.
I’m looking forward to the future of my newsletter ventures, and I hope you’ll continue to join me on this. There’s 2 ways to do this:
